Players trust BeeAnswers when the word list matches the hive. This page explains our publishing process in plain language — timing, verification, and what we do when sources disagree.
BeeAnswers is independent. We are not The New York Times and we do not claim official NYT partnership.
The NYT Spelling Bee resets overnight on an America/New_York calendar. Our “today” pages follow that same timezone so the hive on BeeAnswers matches the puzzle players see in the morning.
When the new letters are available, we publish (or refresh) that day’s answers page, update the homepage hub, and keep yesterday available in the archive.
Every accepted word must:
We reconcile independent public Spelling Bee answer archives for that date, normalize the word list, and compute pangrams, total points, and Genius (70% of max). When archives disagree, we prefer a consensus list rather than a single unchecked dump.
If a word is missing or an extra word slipped in, tell us via Contact. We re-check the hive rules and update the day’s page. Archive days stay available on the calendar and yesterday’s answers.
The word lists are built to match what Spelling Bee accepts for that hive. BeeAnswers itself is not an official NYT product.
Occasionally public archives lag or disagree. We refresh when a stronger consensus list is available.
